Corrie’s Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA), Ventral Bullae Osteotomy (VBO) and total Pinnectomy
Corrie is a 5-year-old neutered male Shar Pei who presented to us through a local rescue centre called ‘Wonky pets‘. Corrie had end stage Otitis externa and Otitis media of the left ear and due to years of abuse sadly did not have a temperament where medical management could be successfully implemented. Corrie also developed a severely infected pinna with a Multi-resistant Staphylococcus Pseudintermedius infection (MRSP). A TECA, VBO and Pinnectomy of the left ear was performed and Corrie has gone on to his forever home and is currently doing really well.
